The movie "The Secret" does not mention the Hicks or their work and teachings of the law of attraction. ( I did hear that one version of the movie actually had them in it but I didn't see it.) In their book, "The Astonishing Power of Emotions" they explain why they were not involved in "The Secret". They also talk quite a bit about earlier authors such as Napoleon Hill who mentions the words 'the secret' in his books many times but various publishers started taking it out. I have read a few versions of his book "Think and Grow Rich" and found that to be true. The other thing was that the Hicks works to me had a very striking similarity to Hills writings.

The Hicks were interviewed by Oprah to discuss the issues around their work and the movie "The Secret" on Oprah's radio station. You can listen to "The Secret behind the Secret".
